MOROCCO TRAVEL TIPS

– Morocco is a stunning country with a fascinating history and unique culture, that all travelers need to respect. Especially when it comes to dress codes for women. Entering the beautiful mosques, visitors need to be covered down to their wrists and ankles. And even if you are not planning to visit any religious places, it’s better to dress on the conservative side to avoid unwanted attention.

– Don’t rely too much on paying by credit or debit card, as not all places are happy to accept payment in anything but hard cash. The local currency is the Moroccan dirham, and you need to keep in mind that ATMs are not as widely available as they are in big European cities, so always check with your hotel first. They might exchange euros for dirhams for you.

– Moroccan markets are amazing, and visiting one is a truly authentic experience. And just as with the markets in Turkey, you need to know how to haggle!
