ZAGREB TRAVEL TIPS
– While Zagreb is not a coastline city which makes it unfit for a beach holiday, this destination can boast an undeniable advantage of being significantly more budget-friendly than such popular choices as Dubrovnik or Zadar. Another good news is that most cafes, bars, and shops are perfectly happy to accept payment via a credit/debit card, making it easier to get around if you are used to this payment method. However, we always advise having some cash on you just in case.
– Make sure you pack a pair of comfortable shoes for a trip, as you will walk a lot on your Zagreb city break. The capital of Croatia is a beautiful city and a perfect place to explore on foot as it is not just lovely but also surprisingly compact and very easy to get around.
– As in most places around the world, leaving tips in Croatia is a great way to show appreciation for a provided service (a 5%-10% of a bill’s total amount is a standard way to go in restaurants).
