VENICE TRAVEL TIPS
– If possible, avoid visiting Venice in the summer. The crowds are crushing, the temperatures and humidity levels are uncomfortably high, and absolutely everything is overpriced and booked months in advance. The chances are that in these conditions, you won’t find the remarkable city all that magical.
– The world-famous Piazza San Marco is surely a must-see place in Venice, but if you are looking for great food and amazing art and would love to have some peace and quiet to enjoy them, you will need to venture beyond the famous overcrowded square.
– While the stunning city of Venice is not as famous for its artistic heritage as glorious Rome or awe-inspiring Florence, it still has quite a few must-see things to offer art lovers, such as masterpieces by Giorgione, Titian, Giovanni Bellini, Édouard Manet, and other renowned artists.
