PARIS TRAVEL TIPS
– Skip the cafes located near the popular tourist attractions. The convenient location allows them not to worry about losing customers even if the food leaves something to be desired. Plus, they are terribly overpriced, and Paris is not a budget-friendly city even at the best of times. If you want to get to know the real French cuisine, eat where the locals do. Don’t hesitate to ask your guides for a few recommendations, they will be only too happy to tell you about their favorite venues.
– Make sure to pack comfortable shoes, as you will walk a lot during the sightseeing tours. After all, Louvre alone houses over 35,000 artworks and you can take hours to explore its treasures and you will see only a tiny fraction of what it has to offer.
– The city is famous for its glorious shopping opportunities. But did you know that the shops are only permitted to have sales twice a year, in June and January? So if this is what you are after, make sure to plan your trip accordingly.
