Day 2
Plitvice Lakes National Park / Castles Tour with Wine Tasting
Today you get to venture beyond Zagreb borders and explore the region’s gems. We offer you two day-trip options to consider:
Option 1: Rastoke & Plitvice Lakes National Park
Visit Croatia’s oldest national park and admire the unparalleled natural beauty of the country.
The first stop is Rastoke, a beautiful watermill village nestled at the confluence of the Slunjcica and Korana Rivers. It is famous for awe-inspiring landscapes and charming architecture.
Next, you head to Plitvice Lakes Park, a UNESCO Heritage Site famous for its stunning crystal-clear lakes connected by a stunning waterfall system, to enjoy an electric boat ride across Lake Koozjak.
Option 1: Trakoscan & Zakretje Tour With Wine Tasting
Leave the city behind and head to the picturesque Croatian countryside. This day trip is dedicated to exploring two of the most famous castles of the region, Trakoscan and Zakretje, nestled not far from the country’s vibrant capital.
The first stop on the route is Trakoscan Castle dating back to the 13th century. The sight is an important historical landmark, and your host will be happy to share its fascinating story during a tour of Trakoscan.
Next, you head to Zacretje Castle, boasting a unique shape – the castle is built to resemble the letter “V.” Unlike the previous residence, the castle is inhabited, and its gracious owner will be happy to take you around the place.
After that, your group drives to a small winery set nearby on the spectacular Zagorje hills, famous for fabulous drinks and lovely views of the vineyards.
Following that, you head back to Zagreb and get dropped off at your accommodation. Nothing is planned for the rest of the day so enjoy the evening at leisure.

It offers a wide variety of handmade items created by local designers, such as jewelry, T-shirts, natural cosmetics, notebooks, and other excellent gift ideas that can easily fit in your travel bag.
– In Zagreb, tipping in restaurants is entirely up to you. If you want to show your appreciation for the service, a 10% tip will be highly appreciated.
